PROJECT OVERVIEW
Designed to expand access to quality affordable housing, this 15 unit multi-family development introduces thoughtfully integrated residential density to an established Knoxville neighborhood. The architecture draws inspiration from the scale, massing, and character of surrounding homes, using familiar residential forms and materials to establish a cohesive relationship within the neighborhood while creating a contemporary interpretation of the local architectural vernacular.
The project provides studio apartments for residents earning up to 80% of the area median income, supporting a more diverse and accessible housing landscape. Efficiently planned residences maximize functionality and comfort within a compact footprint, balancing the need for housing with thoughtful design.
The site incorporates landscaping and pedestrian connections to soften the transition between the building and its surroundings, contributing to a welcoming streetscape. The project demonstrates how thoughtful infill development can increase housing opportunities while respecting neighborhood character, offering a model for responsible growth and more inclusive communities.
